Here's the scenario: you've always wanted a fireplace in your home and don't have enough money to buy a whole other house that includes a fireplace, nor do you have enough to remodel your house to put in a fireplace. You are in luck, however, because freestanding stoves that are made for your house do not require any remodeling whatsoever.

After you purchase your freestanding stove, viola! You have plenty of heat in your house and this stove can be used as a secondary, or even primary, source of heat for your house and family.
You can purchase freestanding stoves that provide a great amount of heat and come in all shapes and sizes. There are stoves that look like traditional fireplaces with a glass door so that you can look at the fire; freestanding stoves can even be bought with the heat coming off of the top of the product, like a big pot. Of course wood burning freestanding fireplaces and the freestanding stoves that are fueled by natural gas both have to be vented up through the top of the house. A metal chimney that is attached to the freestanding stove can usually be purchased if you desire that type of fuel source. However, that would be the only drawback to purchasing a wood burning or gas stove, but there are plenty of other heat sources if you don't want to have ventilation necessary. For example, pellets and coal can be used to fuel the stove.
Electricity is also an option for your freestanding stove. With electricity as a heat source instead of actual wood or coal, for example, there is no mess to clean up, but your fireplace can look just as attractive also. For example, there are logs that can be purchased that will look just as natural as regular ones, and the flames that appear in an electric fireplace will look just as real also. All of those fuels offer a reliable alternative rather than wood or gas.
Freestanding stoves also offer plenty of options for those who would still like a beautifully decorated house. Depending on the size and form of the stove that you buy comes in, there are plenty of things that you can do to make it an official centerpiece of your house. For example, you could add a series of candles on all side of the freestanding stove to make it look more elegant. For that purpose, candelabras are an excellent choice. On the other hand, to add some flare and style to your stove, incense could be burned near the stove. Incense will make a sweet smelling aroma that will be enjoyed not only by you, but also by your guests that you invite over.
Cleaning your stove is not a big issue, either, when it comes to freestanding stove maintenance. Formulas that you can purchase will clean your stove for you, or you can even have a professional come to clean it out. Regular professional maintenance would be a good idea, anyway, in order to keep your stove in tip top shape. |
